Review: An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn
A fun and refreshing take on the Cinderella fairytale, the heroine Sophie is a poor but resilient young woman who meets bachelor Benedict Bridgerton at a masked ball. Circumstances separate them for years and when they later encounter each other, he has no idea she is the same woman from the ball yet of course falls in love with her once again.Their chemistry leaped off the page many times, though Benedict's manners were less Prince Charming and more Mister Grumpy, his obsession and lack of compassion was a bit of a concern reading. Overall, one of my favourite Bridgerton stories but could be better.
