-D.F. Jones, USA Today Bestselling Author
on her YA Sci-Fi Fantasy book Soul Love
Sophie did an exceptional job as a beta reader and proofreader for my work. Her keen eye for detail is unparalleled—not only did she catch subtle grammar and punctuation issues, but her insightful recommendations for content truly elevated the story.
Sophie has a unique ability to pinpoint areas that need refinement while offering constructive feedback that inspires creative solutions. Her suggestions were spot on and aligned perfectly with the tone and vision of Jingles: A Sweet Christmas Romance Short Story making the revision process seamless and enjoyable.
I highly recommend Sophie to any author or writer seeking thoughtful, thorough, and professional feedback. Her dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with her again on future projects!
-D.F. Jones, USA Today Bestselling Author
on her Contemporary Romance Short Story Jingles
Sophie has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Her Goodreads review of the first book was very constructive, honest, thorough, and still very much positive, despite it not necessarily being her cup of tea. I reached out to her to see if she would be interested in reviewing book 2 and offering any feedback in advance of release. I was thrilled to hear Sophie was happy to help out.
The suggestions she made were very useful, 99% of which I have actioned, including the smaller visual details such as an idea for a chapter header image. I particularly liked her inclusion of favourite quotes!
Throughout the whole process, Sophie was so polite and thoughtful, while still maintaining her honesty, which I value most as an author. I highly recommend working with Sophie, and I am excited to approach her again in the future for further collaborations.
-Jodie Angell, author of YA Fantasy The Ancient Spells Trilogy
on her 2nd book Severance of Minds
Sophie is a very thorough reviewer/beta reader. The best I've seen! Probably the best thing about Sophie is her reliability and responsiveness to communication.
I always knew what was going on with the beta read which was always on schedule. Her quick understanding of the book was greatly appreciated. In my case, her knowledge of Norse Mythology was was astounding and I felt she really understood the nuances and history of the book.
I also had her proof and do a light edit for a short story I was working on and her amazing insights were spot on! Sophie's ability to spot errors in grammar and punctuation are of paramount importance and helped clean up the story. Sophie worked within my budget and is great to work with and I can't recommend her enough.
As a writer, her enthusiasm for the book is so heart warming and appreciated. I will work with her again!
-Wendy L. Anderson, author of Fantasy A Cut Twice as Deep
on her Contemporary Romance novella The Minimalist
I can't thank you enough for diving into my book! Your insights and suggestions have given me a clear roadmap for improving the story.
You nailed the grammar game right from the start. Those pesky typos and grammar hiccups? You caught them, even the tricky ones I overlooked... your eagle eye spotted them all.
Beyond the nitty-gritty stuff, you were spot-on in pointing out bigger issues. Your sense of pacing is uncanny – you highlighted where the story lagged and where it raced ahead too quickly. I plan to beef up some scenes and trim down those filler chapters you mentioned...And thanks for suggesting the appendix – brilliant idea!
What I loved most was your balance of critique and encouragement. Even when tackling plot twists and world-building, areas I was unsure about, you were cheering me on. Your feedback kept me fired up and excited to tackle the edits.
Working with you and digesting your comments has been a fantastic experience. Your expertise in grammar and pacing is top-notch, and your support is invaluable. I’d recommend you to any writer looking to elevate their manuscript.
