Review: Highland Dom by Marie Tuhart

Cafe owner Kristen Caldwell assumes a new identity to escape her toxic family and ex-fiance. Cameron McMillan, dominant, goes away to Scotland to teach at a University to escape from his own problems (his previous sub cheats on him) and put his life in order. When he returns, he realises how much he's always liked her (4 years to be precise). She wants to try out new things to do with BDSM and he is happy to show her the proverbial - and literal! - ropes. Of course, Kristen doesn't want to get into a relationship after her past experience, whereas Cameron wants something serious and doesn't want to play games.

I really liked this dual POV story. Being Scottish, of course I really appreciated their trip to Scotland and what they get up to. And there was a lot of depth to Kristen and Cameron. I especially loved the scene where he helps her in the Cafe, that was very sweet. He is such a green flag! He boosts her confidence and gives her so much of his time and patience. Indeed, a very heartwarming book.
